CARY, N.C. – Today’s heavy rainfall has forced a change in the quarterfinal round schedule of the 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Championship at WakeMed Soccer Park.

At 3 p.m., No. 4 Maryland (12-4-2, 4-2-2) faces No. 5 Virginia (12-3-2, 4-3-1) on Field 2, while third-seeded Boston College (11-7, 5-3) faces sixth-seeded Duke (12-5, 4-4) on Field 3.

The 5:30 p.m. slate features top-seeded Wake Forest (13-3-2, 5-2-1) against No. 9 Clemson (6-11-1, 2-6-0) on Field 3, and North Carolina (13-2-2, 5-2-1) facing No. 7 NC State (12-5-1, 2-5-1) on Field 2.

If heavy rain should continue and force cancellation of today’s quarterfinal games, a decision on further rescheduling will be made Thursday morning at approximately 9 a.m.

The semifinal games are still scheduled for Friday at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., followed by Sunday’s Championship Game at 1 p.m., which will also be broadcast live on Fox Sports Net.
