CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s lacrosse team is ranked No. 3 in all four of the major preseason polls, entering the 2010 season.

The Cavaliers grace the No. 3 spot in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse, Face-Off Yearbook, Lacrosse Magazine and USILA coaches poll.

Head coach Dom Starsia’s squad features 28 returning lettermen, including six starters, from last year’s team that posted a 15-3 record. The Cavaliers advanced to the national semifinals for the second consecutive season before falling to Cornell, the national runner-up.

UVa opens its season on Feb. 20 against Drexel at Vidas Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Faceoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
