PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three members of the Virginia men’s diving team – senior Alex D’Ambrosio, sophomore Briggy Imbriglia and freshman Kevin Moore – completed competition over the weekend at the NCAA Zone Meet. The meet was held at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center on Rutgers’ Busch Campus. Virginia placed second overall in the 23-team event.

“I am extremely excited how the team performed,” Virginia diving coach Rich MacDonald said. “They all moved up spots from prelims to finals in every event. Alex saved his best diving for his last meet so I’m happy for him. Briggy and Kevin dove great and gained valuable exposure and experience. As a whole, the team achieved most of our goals that we set for the meet. wish we could have gotten one of them to advance to NCAAs but they gave it their best shot. To finish second out of 23 teams at this competitive of a meet was a great accomplishment for them.”
