CHARLOTTESVILLE-Fans attending any of the athletics events scheduled for this weekend (May 14-16) at Davenport Field and Klöckner Stadium should be aware of parking fees and the possibility of a tight parking situation for those events.

Men’s and Women’s Tennis NCAA Tournament, May 15-16

The Virginia women’s tennis team is hosting a second round NCAA match at the Snyder Tennis Center on Saturday (May 15, 4 p.m.). The UVa men’s tennis team hosts first and second round NCAA matches at the tennis center on Saturday (10 a.m. & 1 p.m.) and Sunday (May 16, 1 p.m.).

Admission is free to the tennis matches on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is available at the Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage and the Culbreth Road Parking Garage at no charge all three days. Event parking is also available at the Central Grounds Parking Garage, however hourly rates apply.

Baseball vs. North Carolina, May 14-16

The Virginia baseball team is hosting a three-game series with North Carolina at Davenport Field. The original schedule had a night game on Friday (May 14, 7 p.m.) and afternoon games on Saturday (May 15, 1 p.m.) and Sunday (May 16, 1 p.m.). Friday’s game was postponed because of inclement weather. The teams will now play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Shows of Sesame Street Live are scheduled for the John Paul Jones Arena Saturday morning (10:30 a.m.) and afternoon (2:00 p.m.), and Sunday afternoon (1 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.). The JPJA surface parking lot is not available for baseball event parking because of those shows.

All tickets for the Friday baseball game will be honored at the second game Saturday. The originally scheduled game for Saturday will be played first, starting at 1 p.m., and will be televised by the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks. The postponed game will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Reserved seat ticket holders for the Friday game may bring their ticket stubs to the Davenport Field gate for the same seat at the rescheduled game (the second game on Saturday). Please note that since this game has been rescheduled, season ticket holders cannot turn in their tickets for another game.

Each game of the doubleheader will be a separately ticketed event, with tickets for the Friday game valid for the second game Saturday. The seating areas will be cleared between games; fans attending both games will need tickets for each contest and will be re-admitted at the bottom of the stadium seating areas shortly after the conclusion of the first game Saturday.

Tickets remain for all three games in the series and may be ordered online at VirginiaSports.com or at the gate. General Admission seating is available in sections 101, 102, 108 and 109 of the grandstand, the left- and right-field bleachers, the first baseline bleachers and on the grass hillside.

Advance ticket sales online end four hours prior to home baseball games. The ticket booths and gates at Davenport Field open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.



General Admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under), seniors (60 and older) and faculty/staff (limit two per faculty/staff). Reserved tickets, if turned in by season ticket holders for resale, are available for purchase on game day and are $9 for adults and $5 for UVa faculty/staff (limit two per faculty staff).

Baseball Parking

The John Paul Jones Arena surface parking lot is not available for baseball event parking this weekend because of the Sesame Street Live shows at JPJA.

In addition to the home baseball games Saturday, the UVa men’s lacrosse team will face Mount St. Mary’s at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Klöckner Stadium. For the baseball game at 1 p.m., parking is available at no charge in the University Hall lots, the JPJA Parking Garage, the Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage and the Culbreth Road Parking Garage. 



Beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, the University Hall parking lots and JPJA Parking Garage will be used for the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament game. There is a $5 cash parking charge for NCAA events in those parking areas, so baseball patrons will be charged for parking in those areas. Parking is available in the Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage and the Culbreth Road Parking Garage at no charge.

The University Hall parking lots and the JPJA Parking Garage will be used for the baseball game and a first round NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament game on Sunday. There is a $5 cash parking charge for NCAA postseason lacrosse events, so baseball patrons will be charged for parking in those parking areas. Parking is available in the Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage and the Culbreth Road Parking Garage at no charge.

Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Lacrosse NCAA Tournament, May 15-16

A first round NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Tournament game is scheduled for Saturday (May 15, 7:30 p.m.) and a first round NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament game is scheduled for Sunday (May 16, noon) at Klöckner Stadium.

As in the past there will be a $5 cash parking charge for NCAA postseason lacrosse events.

General admission tickets for the NCAA tournament men’s and women’s lacrosse games are $7 for adults and $5 for youth (18 and under) and seniors (60 and older). General admission lacrosse tickets for students of participating schools with a valid ID are $5.
