Dahlonega, GA – The Virginia duo of Brittany Altomare and Elizabeth Brightwell moved into a tie for second place following the second day of competition at the Women’s Collegiate Team Championship at Achasta, by Reynolds. Playing with a best ball format, the two players from UVa shot 9-under 63 for a two-day total of 10-under 134. They posted seven birdies and one eagle during their round to card the second-best score among all the teams in the field.

Alabama’s duo of Brooke Pancake and Jennifer Kirbylead the tournament at 11-under 133. Wake Forest’s Cheyenne Woods and Michelle Shin are tied with UVa’s players for second place.

Thursday’s final round of play will feature an aggregate score format. The first round of the tournament used an alternate shot format.
