CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams welcome Big Ten foes Indiana and Penn State to the Aquatic and Fitness Center this weekend for a two-day double dual meet. The first session will begin at 6 p.m. Friday and will continue with the second session at 11 a.m. Saturday. Live results will be available on VirginiaSports.com.

The 11th-ranked Cavalier men and ninth-ranked women are coming off wins over Virginia Tech and Princeton last weekend in a NCAA championships-style invitational.

Senior Matt McLean, who won the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free, was tabbed the ACC men’s performer of the week after posting three NCAA ‘B’ times last weekend. Sophomore Lauren Perdue recorded first-place finishes in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free and was selected as the conference women’s performer of the week. Perdue nabbed ‘B’ cuts in all three individual events, as well as leading off three winning relays.

The 10th-ranked Indiana men are 2-1-1 on the dual meet season with wins over Northwestern and Kentucky, as well as a 150-150 tie with No. 6 Michigan. The No. 15 Hoosier women are 2-2 this season, claiming victories over the Northwestern and Kentucky, while dropping meets to Texas and Michigan most recently on Oct. 29-30.

Both the Penn State men and women are receiving votes in the latest CSCAA top-25 poll. The Nittany Lion men dropped a dual meet to West Virginia (125-116) and last competed against Virginia Tech on Oct. 23, a 181.5-118.5 setback. The women, meanwhile, are 2-0 on the young season with wins over both the Mountaineers (174-67) and Hokies (187-113).

Because of construction near the Aquatic and Fitness Center, parking adjacent to the facility is limited and parking rules are being stringently enforced. Metered parking will be available at the Aquatic and Fitness Center; please note your space number and pay the meter inside the facility.

Free parking will be available at Slaughter Recreation Center (a five minute walk) for spectators. Spaces designated for those individuals in possession of a disabled parking permit are located off Alderman Road on the west side of the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

After 5 p.m. on weekdays, and all times on weekends, surrounding lots are open to the public including Scott Stadium lots. Please make sure to abide by all posted signage.
