CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia senior Matt McLean repeated as the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s performer of the week, the league office announced Tuesday.

McLean, a native of Sterling, Va., helped Virginia to a pair of wins over Big Ten foes Indiana, ranked 10th, and Penn State, in a two-day double dual meet over the weekend. He won four individual events and posted NCAA ‘B’ marks in two, including a time of 1:37.06 in the 200 freestyle and 4:23.28 in the 500 freestyle. McLean then led off Virginia’s winning 400 freestyle relay as the squad posted a ‘B’ time of 2:59.70. He also won the 1000 freestyle and 200 butterfly.

It is the second honor of the season for McLean, who was named the conference’s performer of the week on Nov. 16.

The Cavaliers return to the pool Dec. 3-5 at the Georgia Invitational in Athens, Ga.
