Virginia-Virginia Tech to Play Doubleheader Friday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia softball team has adjusted the schedule for its games against Virginia Tech this weekend because of the threat of inclement weather.

The Cavaliers (19-22, 2-9 ACC) and Hokies (30-11, 7-5 ACC) will play a doubleheader Friday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and a single game Saturday at 12 p.m. at The Park.

The two teams were originally scheduled to play one game Friday at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Virginia Athletics will provide free Domino’s pizza and Pepsi products (while supplies last) in between games Friday as part of the softball tailgate. On Saturday, a free postgame youth clinic will be held on the field with members of the Cavalier softball team, weather permitting. Youth eighth grade and younger are invited to participate.

Admission is free to all Virginia softball home games.
