CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The pairings for the 2011 ACC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament were announced Saturday following the completion of regular season conference play. Virginia is the No. 4 seed for next week’s tournament, which will be held at Koskinen Stadium on the campus of the Duke University.

Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia all tied for No. 2 in the ACC with 1-2 records. Based on a tiebreaker that involves goal differential, North Carolina ends up pulling the No. 2 seed and Maryland grabs the No. 3 seed. The Tar Heels and Terrapins meet in Friday’s first game, starting at 5 p.m.

Top-seeded Duke hosts No. 4 seed Virginia (8-4, 1-2 ACC) in Friday’s second semifinal, starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s winners will meet in Sunday’s championship game, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

All of Virginia’s games at the ACC Tournament will be broadcast in the Charlottesville area on WINA AM 1070 with John Freeman calling the action.
