CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia swimming associate head coach Chip Kline was recently honored by CollegeSwimming.com as an honorable mention selection for the website’s inaugural coach of the year award. He was one of eight assistant coaches from across the nation to be selected.

Kline just completed his sixth season with the Cavalier staff, including his second as the associate head coach. His responsibilities include coaching the sprinters and assisting with the design of the dryland and weight training programs, in addition to spearheading all recruiting efforts for both the men’s and women’s squads.

In his six years in Charlottesville, the Cavaliers have combined for nine Atlantic Coast Conference championships – five from the men and four from the women.
