Three Future Cavaliers Named To 2011 Junior National Team Rosters

PRINCETON, N.J. – Incoming rowing freshmen Chandler Lally (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) and Lizzy Youngling (Westport, Conn.) have been selected to represent the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Junior Championships scheduled for Aug. 3-7 in Eton Dorney, Great Britain. Additionally, sophomore transfer Catherine Multari (Ontario, Canada) will row for Canada at the championships.
Lally will be competing in the women’s four. She is a three-time member of the US Junior National Team and stroked the four to a silver medal at the 2010 Junior World Championships. Lally served as captain of her high school team and holds the record for the Philadelphia Indoor Rowing Championships.
Youngling will be competing in the women’s quadruple sculls. This is her second time with the US Junior National Team, as she rowed in the sixth-place pair at the 2010 Junior World Championships. She also won the quad at 2011 Youth Nationals and second in the double at the 2010 Head of the Charles.
Multari will be competing in the women’s four for Canada. She previously attended the University of Western Ontario.
