LOS ANGELES — The Virginia women’s tennis team continued play Saturday at the ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Country Club. The Cavaliers had a pair of doubles team competing in the consolation draw.

The team of Lindsey Hardenbergh (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.) won three matches to reach the consolation final. In the first round they defeated Khunpak Issara and Ale Granillo of Pepperdine, 8-4. In the consolation quarterfinals they topped the California team of Jana Juricova and Anett Schutting, 8-4. They reached the final with an 8-6 semifinal win over Natalie Pluskota and Joanna Henderson of Tennessee. In Sunday’s consolation final, they will play Joanna Mather and Lauren Embree of Florida.

Emily Fraser (Rye, N.Y.) and Hana Tomljanovic (Boca Raton, Fla.) fell in the consolation first round, losing 8-3 to Kristi Boxx and Abby Guthrie of Ole Miss.
