CHARLOTTESVILLE – The ITA Atlantic Regional continued Sunday at the Snyder Tennis Center with three Cavaliers reaching the singles quarterfinals and one doubles team reaching the semifinals. Jarmere Jenkins (College Park, Md.), Julen Uriguen (Guatemala City, Guatemala) and Justin Shane (Falls Church, Va.) advanced in singles, while Uriguen and Drew Courtney (Clifton, Va.) advanced in doubles.

Jenkins, the top seed, continued his quest for a third-straight ITA Regional singles title with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Albert Ochagavia of Old Dominion in the round of 16. He meets ninth-seeded Francisco Dias of George Washington in the quarterfinals. Fifth-seeded Uriguen rallied from down a set and a break for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 win over Tommy Laine of Maryland. He meets third-seeded Luka Somen of Virginia Tech in the quarterfinals. Sixth-seeded Shane topped 11th-seeded Sergio Wyss of Maryland 6-3, 6-3 to set up a quarterfinal matchup with Filip Svensson of VCU.

In doubles, the third-seeded duo of Courtney and Uriguen won a pair of matches to reach the semifinals. They downed Lucas Oliveria and Hunter Koontz of Virginia Tech 9-7 before topping Andy Magee and Vlad Stefan of Maryland 8-3. They play the second-seeded Hokie duo of Somen and Corrado Tocci in the semifinals.

Play begins at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Snyder Tennis Center with the singles quarterfinals. The singles semifinals and doubles semifinals will follow. Admission is free.
