Georgetown, SC – The 24th-ranked Virginia men’s golf team is in sixth place following the first 36 holes of play at the 15-team General Hackler Championship in Georgetown, S.C. The Cavaliers posted rounds of 297 and 293 for a 36-hole total of 590. North Florida leads the event at 582.

Ben Kohles led the group of Virginia golfers by shooting 3-over 145 Sunday. He had rounds of 75 and 70. Denny McCarthy and Bruce Woodall are tied for 15th at 148. McCarthy shot 72 and 76 while Woodall posted scores of 75 and 73. Ben Rusch is in 27th place at 150 after back-to-back rounds of 75. Ji Soo Park is in 39th place at 152. He had scores of 77 and 75. Gregor Orlando, playing as a non-scoring individual, is in 61st place at 158.

North Florida’s Sean Dale leads the field in stroke play at 2-under 139.
