Charlottesville, VA – The 24th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team travels to Greensboro, N.C. this weekend to play in the Bryan National Collegiate held on the Players Course at Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. The 54-hole tournament is schedule to run Friday, April 6 through Sunday, April 8. Play begins at 8:20 a.m. the first two days and concludes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Sunday.

This year’s field includes the College of Charleston, No. 9 Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, No. 22 Michigan State, Northwestern, No. 6 North Carolina, No. 19 NC State, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Ohio State, No. 25 South Carolina, No. 13 Tennessee, Tulane, Virginia and Wake Forest.

The Cavaliers’ lineup features Brittany Altomare, Briana Mao, Elizabeth Brightwell, Portland Rosen and Lauren Greenlief. Altomare led the Cavaliers last weekend with a sixth-place finish at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. She leads the team with a 73.25 stroke average and is ranked No. 30 in the most recent Golfweek standings.

Last year Virginia placed fourth in the 17-team field. Rosen led the team with a third-place finish, shooting 6-over 222.
