Colin Harrington Selected to ACC All-Tournament Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia outfielder Colin Harrington (R-So., Johnstown, Pa.) was selected to the 2012 ACC All-Tournament Team, as announced by the conference office Sunday following the conclusion of the event.
Harrington went 6-for-10 in three games at the tournament. He also drove in three runs and scored three times.
After going 0-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt in the opener against Clemson, Harrington reached base in six of his eight plate appearances over the final two games, with six base hits and a sacrifice fly. He tied his single-game career high with three hits in the Cavaliers’ games with Georgia Tech and No. 1 Florida State.
UVa finished 2-1 in the tournament, with its lone loss coming to eventual champion Georgia Tech.
Virginia continues postseason competition this Friday (June 1) when it starts play in the NCAA Charlottesville Regional at Davenport Field. The full NCAA tournament bracket will be announced at noon Monday on ESPNU.
