CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The Virginia volleyball team begins a four-match road stretch Thursday evening when it faces off with Boston College Thursday evening (Sept. 27) at 7 p.m., in Chesnut Hill, Mass.

Last weekend, Virginia (5-8, 0-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) dropped two ACC matchups, falling 3-0 to Miami on Friday night (Sept. 21), before losing 3-1 to Florida State on Saturday night (Sept. 22).

Senior Jessica O’Shoney hit .448 with 14 kills and one error in a four-set loss to No. 15 Florida State, while freshman Natalie Bausback hit .429 with 12 kills and no errors the night before against Miami.

The Cavaliers are led by sophomore Tori Janowski, who leads the team with 3.27 kills per set, while junior Emily Rottman averages 4.13 digs per set.

The Eagles are 7-8 on the season (1-2 ACC) after dropping two three-set matches last weekend at Clemson and Georgia Tech. Katty Workman leads BC with 4.00 kills per set, while Courtney Castle averages 3.35 kps.

UVa leads the all-time series, 12-2, and won the last match, 3-0, on Nov. 11, 2011 in Charlottesville.

Up next, the Cavaliers travel to College Park, Md., to face Maryland on Sunday (Sept. 30) at 2 p.m.
