CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia men’s tennis alumni continue to have success on the professional tours. Five players are in action this week.

Treat Huey (Class of 2008) is in the doubles draw of the Shanghai Masters, teaming with Jonathan Marray. The duo won their first round match Monday, Huey’s first career Masters Series victory.

Sanam Singh (Class of 2011) advanced from qualifying into the main draw of the Challenger Tour event in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Drew Courtney (Class of 2012) is the doubles draw of the Challenger Tour event in Tiburon, Calif.

Ted Angelinos (Class of 2008) is competing at the Futures Tour event in Qatar.

Rylan Rizza (Class of 2006) began his professional comeback this week at a Futures Event in Austin, Texas, after recent training in Charlottesville. He reached the main draw after winning three matches in qualifying.
