ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Virginia graduate student Catherine White (Roanoke, Va.) competed Saturday at the USA Cross Country Championships. White finished 22nd at the 8K race in St. Louis Forest Park that featured 85 of the top runners in the nation.

“Catherine did a great job competing against the best the distance runners the US has to offer,” said Virginia women’s cross country head coach Todd Morgan. “She was aggressive, and even led a large chase back between 4k and 6k. She has a bright future in this sport, and we are excited to get her back for the outdoor track season.”

White, a two-time cross country All-American, is currently not competing for the Cavaliers as she has already used her four years of indoor track eligibility. She has one year of outdoor track eligibility remaining and will conclude her collegiate career this spring.
