CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The schedule for the Virginia-NC State baseball series at Davenport Field has been altered because of a forecast for inclement weather this weekend. The series is now scheduled to begin with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. There will be no game Sunday, and the teams will conclude the series at 7 p.m. Monday as originally scheduled.
Tickets for the Sunday game will be accepted for game two of the Saturday doubleheader. Fans with tickets for the Sunday game that cannot attend the second game Saturday may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.
Because of an event at John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday evening, please note the following parking arrangement. Parking will be available in the JPJ, University Hall, Cage and McCue lots until 5:30 p.m. These lots must be vacated by these times. Parking also will be available in the Emmet/Ivy Garage all day; parking in the garage is free until 5:30 p.m., while all cars entering the garage after 5:30 will be charged $5 because of the event at John Paul Jones Arena.
Tickets are on sale at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office. Customers may purchase tickets online at VirginiaSports.com, calling (800) 542-UVA1 or by visiting the ticket office in Bryant Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Davenport Field ticket windows beginning two hours prior to each home game.
ESPNU will broadcast the Monday game live, while WINA 1070-AM will have live radio coverage of the first game Saturday as well as the game on Monday. Live video will be available for the Saturday games on VirginiaSports.com with a subscription to Cavaliers Live, while live audio will be available Monday.
