Women's Tennis Match vs. Boston College Moved Indoors

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Friday’s women’s tennis match between Virginia and Boston College has been moved indoors and will be played at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club. Match time has been moved to 11 a.m., and admission is free.
Saturday’s women’s tennis match between Virginia and Virginia Tech is still scheduled to be played outdoors at the Snyder Tennis Center, beginning at noon.
The No. 32 Cavaliers (6-6) are back in action after winning the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic championship last week in Montgomery, Ala. Virginia won consecutive matches against Michigan State (4-0), No. 34 Yale (4-3) and No. 50 Tulane (4-1) at the tournament.
Freshman Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) was named Most Valuable Player of the Blue Gray Classic, leading the Cavaliers with a 2-0 singles record and 5-0 doubles mark with senior Erin Vierra (Norwell, Mass.). Nauta was also named the ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her efforts.
Freshman Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) is ranked No. 13 in singles, while Nauta is ranked No. 71. Nauta leads the Cavaliers with an 8-1 dual record at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
Nauta and Vierra are 5-0 in doubles, while Elbaba and Li Xi (Kunming, China) went 3-0 at the Blue Gray Classic.
Virginia is 1-0 in the ACC, defeating Maryland 7-0 on March 9.No. 72 Boston College is 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the ACC, while No. 55 Virginia Tech is 13-2, 2-0.
