CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The No. 4 Virginia rowing team hosts its only regatta of the spring season, the UVa Invitational, Saturday (April 26) on Lake Monticello. Duke, Michigan State and Wisconsin will also be in action.

The Cavaliers will race crews from Michigan State in the morning session starting at 8:30 a.m., while the Blue Devils will face Wisconsin. Duke and Michigan State will compete in races starting at noon, while UVa will race No. 16 Wisconsin starting at 1 p.m. In between the sessions, the Cavaliers will honor its senior class.

Last time out, the Virginia Varsity Eight picked up three wins at the Clemson Invitational April 20-21 in Clemson, S.C. The Cavaliers defeated crews from No. 3 Ohio State, No. 5 UCLA, No. 13 Michigan and No. 19 Louisville.

Up next, the Cavaliers will compete at the ACC Championships on May 12 in Clemson, S.C. UVa will be looking for its fourth consecutive conference crown and its 13th title in 14 seasons.

Directions to Lake Monticello – 41 Ashlawn Blvd., Palmyra, VA 22963:

From East/West: Take I-64 to exit 129; go right on 616 for 6 miles. Then go right on 600 for 1.5 miles. Then go right on 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.

From South: Take 29 north to I-64 to exit 129; go right on 616 for 6 miles. Then go right 600 for 1.5 miles. Then go right on 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.

From North: Take 29 south to Rt. 250 (Richmond exit). Stay on 250 to I-64 East (Richmond). Take I-64 E. to exit 129; go right on 616 for 6 miles. Then go right on 600 for 1.5 miles. Then go right on 618 for one mile to the Lake Monticello Gate on the left. The lake is 1/4 mile straight ahead.
