CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior guard Ataira Franklin added another post-season honor by being named to the 2013 University Division All-State Women’s Basketball Team in the annual voting by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID).

Franklin, an All-ACC first team honoree, was ninth in the ACC in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game and second in the conference in minutes played, averaging 36.1 per game. She ranked fifth steals per game (2.2) and free throw percentage (79.3 percent) and 13th among all conference players in three-point shooting efficiency (35.7 percent).

It was the first All-State honor of Franklin’s career.
