GREENSBORO, N.C.–The Virginia softball team will be seeded No. 7 for the Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship and will face second-seeded NC State on Thursday (May 9) at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Fla. First pitch is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start.

The game will be broadcast live on the league’s regional sports networks (RSN), including Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in the Charlottesville area.

The Cavaliers (21-27, 4-17 ACC) were swept by the Wolfpack (30-18-1, 13-7 ACC) in a three-game series at The Park in Charlottesville on April 20-21 during the regular season.

Host Florida State earned the No. 1 seed and will take on eighth-seeded Boston College on Thursday at 5 p.m., followed by fifth-seeded Georgia Tech and fourth-seeded North Carolina at 7:30 p.m. Thursday’s first quarterfinal will see third-seeded Maryland take on sixth-seeded Virginia Tech at 1 p.m.

All seven tournament games will be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPN3, or RSN. Thursday’s first two games at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. will be carried by both RSN and ESPN3, with the night games at 5 and 7:30 p.m. on ESPN3. Friday’s semifinals will be on RSN at 1 and 3:30 p.m., and the championship on Saturday at 6 p.m. can be seen on ESPN2.

Tickets are available for $5 for adults and $3 for youth 18 and under for each day. ACC students with a valid school ID get in free.
