CHARLOTTESVILLE – The 2013 NCAA Champion Virginia men’s tennis team will be honored Monday, July 29, at the Citi Open, the Washington, D.C., tournament on the ATP Tour. Cavalier fans are encouraged to come out to the FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park for a special day with the team by using a special ticket deal.

Virginia fans and alumni can purchase 2-for-1 Citi Open Monday reserved tickets through Ticketmaster by using the code WAHOOWA. Monday is the first day of main draw play at the tournament, which features nine of the top 25 players in the world.

The 2013 Cavalier championship team will be honored during a ceremony on Stadium Court. In addition, there will be opportunities for fans to get their photo taken with the 2013 NCAA Championship trophy and to meet past and present legends of Virginia tennis.

Virginia tennis has a rich history with the Citi Open. At least one Cavalier has been in the main draw of the tournament, singles or doubles, every year since 2006. Last year, Treat Huey (Class of 2008) and Dominic Inglot (Class of 2009) won the Citi Open doubles title, becoming the first Virginia alumni to win an ATP Tour title.
