CHARLOTTESVILLE – The reigning NCAA Champion Virginia men’s tennis team announced its 2013-14 schedule on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will host a pair of fall tournaments and 12 dual matches during the spring.

The Cavaliers will play nine teams this spring who participated in last year’s NCAA Tournament, with a chance to play even more at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Three of those teams reached the NCAA round of 16 last year. th

In addition to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship in February, a tournament the Cavaliers have won five of the last six years, the non-conference schedule is highlighted by a visit from Baylor on March 1 and a trip to UCLA on March 6 for a rematch of last year’s NCAA Final.

The ACC schedule includes home matches against 2013 ACC finalist Wake Forest and conference newcomer Notre Dame. The Cavaliers’ road conference schedule includes a visit to NCAA quarterfinalist Duke.

Virginia will play two fall tournaments at the Snyder Tennis Center. The UVa Ranked+1 Invitational, which annually attracts one of the strongest field of players each fall, is Sept. 20-22, and the UVa Fall Classic is Oct. 4-6.
