CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia wrestling team will conduct its Tuesday afternoon practice (Oct. 22) outdoors at the UVa Amphitheater on Central Grounds. The Cavaliers’ first-ever outdoor practice will run from 3-5 p.m., and is free of charge and open to the student body and general public.

There will be free Domino’s pizza and Pepsi products available during the practice. UVa students also will be eligible for giveaways and raffle prizes, including a $250 gift card.

Coming off a 21st-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Championships, Virginia opens its 2013-14 season Nov. 2 at home at Memorial Gymnasium with a quad meet against Anderson, Gardner-Webb and West Virginia.

The Cavaliers return 20 letterwinners for the 2013-14 season, including 2013 All-American Nick Sulzer (R-Jr., Cleveland, Ohio). 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year George DiCamillo (Highland Heights, Ohio) also is back after winning the conference’s 133-pound championship last season.

2013 NCAA Tournament qualifiers Stephen Doty (R-Sr., St. Louis, Mo.), Jon Fausey (R-Sr., Dalmatia, Pa.) and Joe Spisak (R-Jr., Boiling Springs, Pa.) also return to the lineup, as does 2012 NCAA qualifier Gus Sako (R-Jr., Cleveland, Ohio), who redshirted in 2013.
