CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Virginia seniors Caryssa Peretz (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and Li Xi (Kunming, China), sophomores Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) and Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.) and freshman Marie Faure (Toulouse, France) completed day two singles and doubles action Saturday (Nov. 9) at the UNC Invite.

Virginia went 2-0 in doubles against Elon and 2-3 in singles against in-state rival Virginia Tech.

Xi and Faure defeated Elon’s Frida Jansaker and Jordan Johnston, 8-6, while Epstein and Nauta defeated Maria Camara and Taylor Casey, 8-2.

Faure and Nauta each recorded wins against the Hokies. Faure topped Isel Martinez-Marcos 6-0, 6-0 and Nauta beat Kelly Williford 6-1, 6-2. Xi, Epstein and Peretz each suffered losses against Virginia Tech. Illinca Stoica beat Xi 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(4) and Francesca Fusinato beat Epstein 6-4, 7-6(1). Sansitha Nandakumar beat Peretz 1-6, 6-2, 1-0(8).

The Cavaliers conclude their fall season tomorrow in Chapel Hill.
