NEW DELHI, India – Three Virginia men’s tennis alumni won titles on the professional tour this week. Somdev Devvarman (Class of 2008) won a singles title on the ATP Challenger Tour, Sanam Singh (Class of 2011) won his second consecutive doubles title on the Challenger Tour, while Jarmere Jenkins (Class of 2013) won his second career singles title on the Futures Tour.

At the ATP Challenger Tour event in New Delhi, Somdev Devvarman (Class of 2008) won his third career ATP Challenger Tour singles title and his first since 2010. In the final, he topped former Oklahoma State standout Aleksandr Nedovyesov.

Singh teamed with former Alabama standout Syketh Myneni to win the doubles title at the New Delhi Challenger. The duo had won the Challenger Tour event last week in Kolkata. With the victory, he will climb to a new career high ATP doubles ranking inside the top 225.

In Australia, Jenkins won his second career singles title on the Futures Tour. It was his first career singles title outside the United States.
