Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team travels to Greensboro, N.C. this weekend to play in the 17th annual Bryan National Collegiate held on the Champions Course at Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. The 54-hole tournament is schedule to run Friday, March 28 through Sunday, March 30.

Due to the expectation of inclement weather, the tournament’s first round will get underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

The tournament is UVa’s final regular season event before the ACC Championships, set for April 17-19.

This year’s 18-team field includes Clemson, College of Charleston, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan State, Northwestern, North Carolina, NC State, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and host Wake Forest.

Virginia won last year’s even by four shots at 5-over 869. Brittany Altomare led the Cavaliers with a second-place finish, one shot behind the medalist. Elizabeth Brightwell was fourth and Briana Mao was seventh to give the Cavaliers three finishers among the top 10.

The Cavaliers’ lineup for this year’s tournament features Mao, Brightwell and Portland Rosen, Lauren Diaz-Yi and Lauren Coughlin.
