CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The No. 4 Virginia rowing team travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., Saturday (April 19) for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Cavaliers will face off against No. 10 Michigan at 9 a.m., before facing defending national champion and third-ranked Ohio State at 1 p.m.
Virginia will compete against both the Wolverines and Buckeyes in six races, including three eights and three fours. Notre Dame will also be representing the ACC against OSU in the morning and Michigan in the afternoon.
Last time out, Virginia captured four race wins against No. 7 Princeton and Columbia on April 5 in Princeton, N.J. The UVa Varsity Eight was named ACC Crew of the Week for the second time this season for its efforts.
Up next, the Cavaliers will host the UVa Invitational on April 26 at Lake Monticello. Virginia will race Michigan State at 9 a.m. and No. 18 Syracuse at 1 p.m. In between the sessions, the Cavaliers will honor their senior class. Admission is free to the public.
