Charlottesville, Va. – Virginia women’s golfer Elizabeth Brightwell has been named to the 2014 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team as announced by the ACC today. It marks the third consecutive year the Nellysford, Va., native has been honored by the conference office.

In 2013-14 she played in all 11 tournaments for the Cavaliers and helped Virginia to a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and a runner-up showing at the ACC Championships. She posted a stroke average of 75.39 during her senior year and registered a pair of top-10 finishes.

She graduated in May with a master’s in leadership and public policy. She completed her undergrad degrees in English and French in 2013.

To be eligible for consideration for the team a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a cumulative 3.00 average during her academic career.
