GREENSBORO, N.C.-Seven members of the Virginia rowing program were named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team, the conference announced Tuesday (July 1). Seniors Constanze Duell, Brandy Herald, Kaity McCullough, Sarah McGovern, Catherine Multari, Elle Murray and freshman Georgia Ratcliffe were all honored.

Duell, McGovern and Multari were all honored for the second time, while Herald, McCullough, Murray and Ratcliffe were recognized for the first time.

Herald (Portland, Ore.) was named a CRCA First-Team All-American, while Duell (Oberschleissheim, Germany) earned second-team honors. Herald and Murray (Tampa, Fla.) were honored on the All-ACC First Team, while Duell was a second-team member. Ratcliff (Falls Church, Va.) was named the ACC Freshman of the Year. All four were part of the Varsity Eight that was named the ACC Crew of the Year.

McCullough (Campbell, Calif.), McGovern (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) and Multari (LaSalle, Ontario) were named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes for the second consecutive season. McGovern coxed the Second Varsity Eight that included Multari that placed third at the NCAA Championships, while McCullough was in the bow seat of the Varsity Four that accomplished the same feat.

To be nominated for the All-ACC Academic team, student-athletes must have recorded a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average in the winter semester and have maintained a 3.0 career GPA at their respective schools.
