KNOXVILLE, Tenn.–Virginia rising senior diver JB Kolod earned bronze at the USA Diving AT&T National Championships, which were held Aug. 12-17.

Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) placed third on the synchronized 3-meter springboards with teammate Ryan Hawkins with a score of 388.29. They qualified for the final with a mark of 377.04.

Kolod also competed in two indidivual events at the meet. He qualified for the semifinals of the 3m event, placing 14th overall with a score of 375.20 after a prelim score of 374.85. Kolod also finished 11th on the 1m boards with a total of 327.90.

At the 2014 NCAA Championships, Kolod became the first Cavalier diver to qualify for the championship finals of an event, placing seventh on 3m. He also placed 10th in the platform event.
