CHARLOTTESVILLE – The doubles team of Virginia junior Mac Styslinger (Birmingham, Ala.) and sophomore Thai-Son Kwiatkowski (Charlotte, N.C.) won their first round doubles match Wednesday at the Charlottesville Men’s Pro Challenger, a $50,000 stop on the ATP Challenger Tour.

Styslinger and Kwiatkowski, a wild card entry into the event, topped Liam Broady and Taro Daniel in the first round, 6-1, 4-6, 10-6. They lost in the quarterfinals to top-seeded team of Virginia alumnus Treat Huey (Class of 2008) and Frederik Nielsen. Huey and Nielsen won the doubles title at the tournament, Huey’s second title in Charlottesville.
