PENSACOLA, Fla. – Virginia men’s tennis alumnus Justin Shane (Class of 2014) won his first professional title, winning the doubles crown at the USTA Futures Tour event in Pensacola. Shane teamed with former Cal standout Ben McLachlan to win the championship.

Shane has also advanced to the singles semifinals of the event, as did fellow Virginia alum Michael Shabaz (Class of 2011).

In Australia, top-seeded Jarmere Jenkins (Class of 2013) won the singles title at the Futures Tour event in that country. It was his third futures title Down Under in the last two months as he moves up to a career-high No. 213 ranking this week. Next week he will likely crack the top 200 for the first time in his career.
