NEW DELHI, India – Virginia men’s tennis alumnus Somdev Devvarman (Class of 2008) won his second consecutive singles title at the New Delhi Challenger. In addition to defending his title from last year, it was also his fourth career singles title on the ATP Challenger Tour.

Devvarman, who is ranked No. 153 in the world, defeated countryman Yuki Bhambri in Sunday’s final, 3-6, 6-4, 6-0. Earlier in the tournament he posted a quarterfinal victory over former UVa teammate Sanam Singh (Class of 2011) in three sets.
