CHARLOTTESVILLE – The seventh-ranked Virginia men’s tennis team returns home for the first time in seven weeks as it hosts No. 62 Clemson Friday. Match time is set for 3 p.m. and live scoring and video will be available on VirginiaSports.com.
The match will be played outdoors at the Snyder Tennis Center. Admission for all home Virginia tennis matches is free and parking is available at the Culbreth Garage.
Virginia (9-3, 2-0 ACC) is coming off a 4-3 loss at top-ranked Oklahoma on Tuesday. The Cavaliers opened ACC play last week with a pair of road victories, downing No. 20 Wake Forest 5-2 and No. 31 NC State 7-0.
The Tigers (9-6, 0-1 ACC) opened league play last week with a 5-2 loss to Georgia Tech. That match was the only recent loss for Clemson, who has won three of its last four contests.
Virginia has won 126 consecutive matches against ACC competition (regular season and tournaments), the longest streak in the history of the conference in any sport.
Next week the Cavaliers will return to the road by visiting Notre Dame and Boston College.
