CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The Virginia softball team hosts a round-robin tournament this weekend (March 20-22) with Delaware State and Marist at The Park.
Live statistics for all six games will be available at VirginiaSports.com. Admission is free of charge.

Friday, March 20
3:30 p.m. – Delaware State at Virginia
5:30 p.m. – Delaware State vs. Marist
Saturday, March 21
Noon – Marist vs. Delaware State
2:30 p.m. – Delaware State at Virginia
5 p.m. – Marist at Virginia
Sunday, March 22
Noon – Marist at Virginia
The Cavaliers (5-23) dropped a doubleheader Wednesday (March 18) at James Madison in Harrisonburg, Va. Senior Megan Harris (Knoxville, Tenn.) leads the team with a .375 batting average, while sophomore Kaitlin Fitzgerald (Placentia, Calif.) is hitting .345. Freshmen Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) and Danni Ingraham (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) is leading the team with five home runs each.
Delaware State (2-13) went 1-2 last weekend at the UD Spring Invitational, defeating Villanova, but falling to Delaware and Saint Francis (Pa.). Vanessa Washington leads the Hornets with a .386 batting average and three home runs.
Marist (8-10) is riding a four-game win streak after sweeping doubleheaders against NC Central and Hampton this week. Rebecca Freeman leads the Red Foxes with three home runs and a .351 batting average.
Virginia has played both DSU and Marist once this season. UVa defeated the Hornets, 14-1, but fell to the Red Foxes, 6-4.
Up next, the Cavaliers host George Washington at The Park on Wednesday (March 25) at 5 p.m.
