Virginia (16-37, 4-17 ACC) split a doubleheader Wednesday (April 22) at Liberty, winning the second game, 4-2, after falling in the first, 3-2. The Cavaliers have set the team single-season record for home runs with 52, led by freshman Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) with nine. Sophomore Kaitlin Fitzgerald (Placentia, Calif.) leads the squad with a .364 batting average.

Syracuse (17-26, 1-13 ACC) dropped a 6-4 decision against Hofstra in its last outing Tuesday (April 21). Corinne Ozanne leads the Orange with a .336 average and 11 home runs. Jocelyn Cater is 12-17 with a 3.84 ERA in the circle.
