CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia’s Joe Spisak (R-Sr., Boiling Springs, Pa.) and Nick Sulzer (R-Sr., Cleveland, Ohio) were named to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Wrestling Team, announced Friday by the conference office. This marks the second straight year that Sulzer has earned this distinction, while Spisak was named to the team for the first time.

Both are slated to earn their graduate degrees in Higher Education Administration in a couple of weeks. Spisak and Sulzer represent two of the eight wrestlers in program history to compete in four NCAA Championships.

Just the second three-time All-American in program history, Sulzer finished his UVa career with 122 wins, second most in program history. He also leaves UVa with the most NCAA tournament wins (15) and the most NCAA tournament bouts (24) in program history. Sulzer finished fifth at the 2015 NCAA Championships as he reached the podium for the third straight year. Sulzer also won the last two ACC Championships at 165 pounds.

A four-time NCAA qualifier, Spisak concluded his UVa career with 81 victories. Spisak joined Sulzer on the 2013 and 2014 NWCA All-Academic Teams and also has been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
