CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s tennis standouts Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.), Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.), and Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas) will compete in the 2015 NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles Championship, beginning Wednesday (May 20) at the Hurd Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Baylor.

Reigning NCAA singles champion Collins, who earned first-team All-ACC honors for the second straight season, will compete as a No. 9-16 seed and play 19th-ranked Taylor Davison of Stanford in the round of 64. Collins takes a 13-match winning streak into the championship and boasts a 23-5 singles record in 2014-15. Collins, who is ranked 15th nationally, went 6-0 during her title run at the championship last year as an unseeded player. Collins earns her second All-America honor as a seeded player in the championship.

No. 6 seed Elbaba earns automatic All-America honors for the third straight year as a seeded player in the championship. Elbaba (29-6), who earned first-team All-ACC honors for the third straight season, plays 27th-ranked Emina Bektas of Michigan in the round of 64.

Nauta (31-14) makes her second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Singles Championship. Nauta, who is ranked No. 40, competes against No. 1 seed and top-ranked Robin Anderson of UCLA in the round of 64.
