Women's Tennis Hits The Road For Weekend Competition

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s tennis team hits the road this weekend to compete in the Duke Bonk Invitational and the Oracle/ITA Masters Tournament.
Senior Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) will head to the west coast to participate in the Oracle/ITA Masters Tournament that begins Friday and runs through the weekend. Collins will compete at the Malibu Racquet Club in Malibu, Calif. Collins, the 2014 NCAA Singles Champions, is ranked No. 8 in the Oracle/ITA preseason rankings.
Six Cavaliers head to the Duke Bonk Invitational to compete in the event hosted by the Blue Devils. Virginia will compete against players from programs Duke, Furman, Georgia Tech, Florida, North Carolina, NC State and TCU.
Competing for the Cavaliers will be senior Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.), freshman Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Me.), sophomore Cassie Mercer (Huntington, W.V.), senior Skylar Morton (Bethesda, Md.), junior Victoria Olivarez (Virginia Beach, Va.) and freshman Erica Susi (Vero Beach, Fla.).
Pairings for Virginia in doubles include: Olivarez and Susi, Epstein and Mercer, and Kelley and Morton.
The Duke Bonk Invitational begins on Friday and runs through the weekend at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C.
