Main Draw – Singles | Main Draw – Consolation Singles

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. — Seniors Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) continued to advance through their respective draws with both players picking up two wins at the ITA All-American on Friday.

Collins, the seventh seed in the main draw of the tournament, defeated Carolina Doyle of Stanford 6-1, 6-3 in the first match of the day. She then returned to the court and picked up her second win of the afternoon, defeating top-seeded Brooke Austin of Florida 6-1, 6-0.

The Cavalier senior will now face third seed Maegan Manasse of California on Saturday.

Elbaba also advanced on Friday, picking up a pair of wins in the consolation draw of the tournament. The senior defeated Lexi Borr of Boston College 6-1, 6-3 in the first match of the afternoon. She then advanced to play on Saturday when her opponent, Saska Gavrilovska of Texas A&M, retired after the first set. Elbaba won the first set 6-0.

Elbaba, the top seed in the consolation draw, will now face third seeded Hayley Carter of North Carolina on Saturday.
