CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior Victoria Olivarez (Virginia Beach, Va.) will open competition at the ITA Atlantic Regional on Thursday morning when the qualifying rounds of the tournament begin at Liberty University. Seven players, including Olivarez, will compete in singles at the Atlantic Regional that runs Thursday, Oct. 15, through Monday, Oct. 19.

Olivarez is the three seed in the qualifying draw and will face Lyn Yuen Choo of West Virginia at 8:30 a.m. Should she advance, she will take the court again in the second round of play at approximately 10:45 a.m.

Also competing in the ITA Atlantic Regional in singles are seniors Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.), Maci Epstein (Winter Park, Fla.), Skylar Morton (Bethesda, Md.) and Stephanie Nauta (Galveston, Texas), and freshmen Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Me.) and Erica Susi (Vero Beach, Fla.)

The Cavaliers also have three doubles teams competing in the event with the pairings of Elbaba/Morton, Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.)/Kelley and Epstein/Olivarez all taking the court.

Collins will not be participating in singles after earning an automatic berth to the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship by virtue of winning the Riviera/ITA All-American Championship this past weekend.

As the only tournament on the ITA calendar to showcase elite players from every level of college tennis, the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships serves as the culmination of the fall season. This prestigious event features a 32-player singles draw and a 20-team doubles draw for men and women.
