NEW ORLEANS, La.–Virginia women’s cross country coach Todd Morgan has been named the 2015 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year, the organization announced Tuesday (Nov. 17).

Morgan led the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship Oct. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla., and the NCAA Southeast Regional title last Friday (Nov. 13) at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va. It was Virginia’s fifth regional title and second in a row in regionals contested at Panorama Farms (2013).

The Cavaliers will compete in the 2015 NCAA Championships Saturday (Nov. 21) in Louisville, Ky.

It is Morgan’s third USTFCCCA regional honor and second in three years. He was named the Southeast Region Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2013 at UVA and was awarded the same honor for the South Region in 2009 while at Florida.
