GREENSBORO, N.C.-Virginia women’s cross country coach Todd Morgan has been named the 2015 ACC Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday (Dec. 9). Morgan is the first UVA women’s cross country coach to earn ACC Coach of the Year honors.

Morgan led the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship Oct. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla., and the NCAA Southeast Regional title Nov. 13 at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va. It was Virginia’s fifth regional title and second in a row in regionals contested at Panorama Farms (2013). The Cavaliers went on to finish 15th at the NCAA Championships Nov. 21 in Louisville, Ky., the third-consecutive year Virginia has finished in the top 15.

Morgan was recognized as the USTFCCCA Southeast Region Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in November.
