CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams travel to Boston this weekend to compete at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational. Women’s action on Friday (Jan. 29) is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., while men’s action on Saturday (Jan. 30) is set for an 11:25 a.m. start.

Live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com and FloTrack Pro will be broadcasting the meet (subscription required).

The Cavaliers will compete in track events only, including the 4x400m relays.

Last week at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet in Lexington, Ky., redshirt sophomore Filip Mihaljevic (Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina) broke the ACC and UVA record in the shot put with a throw of 20.69m (67′ 10.75″). His throw currently ranks first in the country.

Redshirt freshman Jack Lint (Westerville, Ohio) broke the Virginia record in the heptathlon with 5,358 points (ninth in the country), while graduate student Iona Lake (Norwich, England) ran the 3,000m in 9:27.63, which also ranks ninth in the country.

The Cavaliers return to action next weekend (Feb. 4-6) for the Doc Hale Elite Meet in Blacksburg, Va.
