Virginia to Compete at UCS Invitational Saturday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-A select group of the Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete at the UCS Invitational Saturday (Feb. 20) at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Cavaliers have two entries in the men’s distance medley scheduled for 4:20 p.m. and sophomore Bridget Guy (Greensburg, Pa.) will compete in the women’s pole vault, which will follow the men’s pole vault that is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
The meet will be live streamed via RunnerSpace.com (subscription required) and live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com.
UVA’s best time in the men’s DMR this season is 9:58.75, set at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet on Jan. 22, while Guy’s personal best is a school-record height of 4.12m (13′ 6.25″), set at the Virginia Tech Invitational on Jan. 15.
The full Cavalier squads will be in action next weekend (Feb. 25-27) at the ACC Championships in Boston.
