CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-The Virginia men’s swimming and diving team opens action at the NCAA Championships on Thursday (March 24) at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. The national meet runs March 23-26 with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.

Senior Yannick Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) and freshman Zach Fong (Moorestown, N.J.) will represent the Cavaliers. ESPN3 will broadcast the finals on Friday and Saturday. Live video links for all other sessions as well as live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

Kaeser has qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third-consecutive year. The senior holds the school record in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke. Kaeser finished 16th in the 200 breast at the 2014 NCAA Championships and placed 16th in the 100 breast at the 2015 national meet.

Fong will be making his NCAA Championship debut. Fong placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly at the ACC Championships and also scored in the 200-yard individual medley and the 400 IM.
